Gato Roboto: Spoiler-light Missables Guide and 100% Steam Achievements Expectations

You can play however you like during your first blind playthrough until you reach the final boss, located just before the large elevator in the Incubator area. Before crossing this point of no return, make sure to complete all collectible-related achievements: [Rebba's BFF], [Rebba's Little Helper], and [Purrrrfectionist]. You can also choose to earn [Sequence Break] during your first playthrough. If you skip it, you may need to incorporate it into your second [Speedrun] playthrough to minimize the total number of runs required. Otherwise, you can always start a new playthrough, as the game is relatively short. [Speedrun] is the most challenging achievement in the game, but you can use save-scumming to optimize your times between major sections. By replaying individual sequences until you achieve a strong result, a sub-one-hour completion becomes much more manageable.

Review

The game is a short but charming metroidvania that can easily be completed over a weekend. Its 1-bit art style is excellent and gives the game a strong retro feel. The story and characters are delightfully quirky, which is fitting considering you play as a cat. Overall, the achievements are enjoyable and well designed. They can make you feel like a speedrunner as you work toward sub-one-hour runs and bypass entire zones using semi-unintended techniques and sequence breaks.
